Studio III designed a garden studio built discreetly on the grounds of the client’s existing property to provide additional space for an at-home gym, office and wellness area. A passive design approach was a core objective from using sustainable materials to the preservation of the existing trees and surrounding environment. Practical placement of the gym equipment with considered space planning and storage meant the clients can do high-intensity training, cardio and low-intensity workouts. A discreet office space gave the clients a multi-functional sanctuary.
Secondly, Studio III provided carefully considered space planning with detailed bathroom and kitchen designs for the conversion of their basement into a self-contained flat. Building in future flexibility, to provide multi-generational living for their elderly parents as well as alternative entertainment space for their growing children, was a central design goal.
